The Chamber’s “For Business” philosophy serves as a strategic guiding principle throughout the Chamber, Foundation, and PAC. The new CEO will work with an engaged Board and committed staff to drive the Chamber’s mission and lead this multi-faceted organization. Founded over 128 years ago, the Sacramento Metropolitan Chamber of Commerce is one of the oldest and largest economic development organizations in the region. The Chamber’s $4.6+MM budget is generated from members and investors and in turn the Chamber provides support to the business community in multiple ways.
The CEO provides strategic direction, vision, and management for the programs and personnel of the Sacramento Metro Chamber of Commerce and its affiliates. This executive is responsible for profit and loss, fiscal stability, and compliance by demonstrating expertise in strategic planning, member sales and services, program management, economic development, public policy, nonprofit governance and operations, finance and accounting, public speaking, and fundraising. The ideal candidate must have at least 10 to 12 years of experience and a proven track record of success in chamber, nonprofit or industry settings.

EUGENE AREA (OR) CHAMBER OF COMMERCE

Position Overview: The Events and Marketing Manager plays a pivotal role in the Eugene Area Chamber of Commerce by spearheading the development, planning, promotion, and execution of the Chamber’s annual events and programs. In addition, the Events and Marketing Manager will be responsible for implementing the Chamber’s communications strategy, generating compelling content, and collaborating closely with the Marketing Director, Marketing Coordinator, and Graphic Designer to ensure message consistency, meet achievable deadlines, and achieve successful implementation.
Primary responsibilities:
Event/Program Management
- Event/program planning, logistics, coordination, and execution. Negotiate vendor contracts.
- Oversee and manage event/program budgets and contribute to future budget planning.
- Coordinate activities of vendors, Chamber staff, and volunteers.
Event/Program Sponsorship & Sales
- Develop, plan, and execute event sales strategies, including ticket sales, booths, tables, etc.
- Sponsorship recruitment and sponsorship fulfillment.
- Ensure accurate and up-to-date content on the website, collaborating with the Graphic Designer and Marketing Coordinator for necessary changes and updates.
Marketing and Communications
- Create engaging content and coordinate messaging across multiple platforms, ensuring consistent brand representation.
- Support the development and implementation of creative event and program promotional campaigns.
- In partnership with the marketing team, develop visual storytelling content for social media engagement before, during, and after events.
Management
- Committee coordination and management and possible management of staff and/or event intern.
Experience & Skills Desired:
- 2-3 years, proven experience in marketing, event planning, or a similar role, preferably within a chamber of commerce, business association, or non-profit organization.
- Preferred but not required, Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, business administration, or a related field.
- Bilingual preferred but not required.
- Experience with project management, team collaboration, and volunteer/committee management.
- Excellent customer service and strong communication skills including writing, interpersonal, and public speaking skills.

Description: Working closely with the Truckee Chamber President/CEO, the Membership & Programs Manager will guide all relationships with Truckee Chamber members, including initial sales, retention, and sponsorships. The goal of this position will be to achieve the highest revenue potential for the Truckee Chamber through mutually beneficial and sustained relationships with our membership and engagement with the broadest possible sphere of Truckee-area businesses. The Membership & Programs Manager, with the help of the Director of Operations, is also responsible for coordinating and delivering programs on behalf of the Truckee Chamber of Commerce which are of value to our membership and stakeholders.This role will collaborate with team members to bring fresh, innovative, and creative ideas and processes to events such as Good Morning Truckee, Mixers, and Lunch and Learns.
Primary Responsibilities
- Work to achieve yearly sales goals for new and renewing members
- Create a membership recruitment and retention program
- Engage with current members through email, phone calls, and in person visits to assist members in taking advantage of membership including benefits and programs.
- Oversee new member onboarding
- Maintain accurate database in ChamberMaster for all members and their representatives
- Work with the Marketing & Communications Manager on content for monthly Member E-Newsletter and bi-weekly Big Life emails
- Lead Ambassador Committee
- Review New Members, Dropped Members, A/R Reports monthly with President/CEO
- Research
- Manage/coordinate the scheduling and production of mixers, ribbon cuttings and Big Life Connections Events
- Assist in any event logistics and speaker scheduling for Good Morning Truckee and Lunch & Learns
- Assist in planning and coordinating aspects of the Annual Awards Event and 4th of July Parade
- Lead staff member for the production of Job Fairs
- Assist with sponsorship sales
