Job Description: The Membership & Development Manager shall be responsible for recruiting new members, retention, selling sponsorships and advertising, as well as developing a strong membership program and ambassador committee.

Responsibilities and Expectations:

  • Selling new memberships ranging from $660 – $40,000 per year annually;
  • Retention of members
  • Maintaining excellence in customer service for increased member retention
  • Prospecting for new members by identifying and qualifying new leads
  • This person will take the lead in establishing and implementing a strategy for new membership outreach, solicitation, and current member retention.
  • Required:
    Excellent written and verbal communication skills
    Ability to work independently and produce a large quantity of accurate, high-quality work in a fast-paced environment
    Ability to work well with VICA volunteers and staff at all levels

Salary Range: The Membership & Development Manager is eligible to receive an annual base salary of $50,000 to $70,000, as well as commissions of 10-25% based on experience and agreed upon commission structure.

SUMMARY OF POSITION: Reporting to the Executive Committee and Board of Directors, the Peoria Chamber of Commerce President and CEO manages and directs operations, finances, communications, membership, programs and events for the Chamber.
