General Job Description:
The LAX Coastal Chamber of Commerce seeks a talented and experienced Events & Communications Director to join our team. Under the direction of the President/CEO, the Events & Communications Director leads the execution of all monthly events, signature events, and programs at the LAX Coastal Chamber. The director plays a critical role in creating and ensuring Chamber members and guests have high-value experiences. This position also plays a key role in strategizing, creating, and implementing our internal and external communications to create high levels of awareness and engagement with both Chamber members, prospective members, community partners, and key stakeholders.
As an integral member of our leadership team, it is important that the Events & Communications Director has excellent project management skills, can lead multiple projects at one time, communicate effectively to various audiences, has exceptional customer service skills, and is a relationship builder. They also must have the ability to take direction and work both independently and as part of a team. The Events & Communications Director must be committed to member initiatives to ensure retention and member satisfaction remain at its highest level. They must be a team player and adapt quickly to fill roles as needed.
