General Description: Responsible for the day-to-day management of the organization, reporting directly to the Chief Executive Officer, and providing executive support to the Board of Directors in fulfilling the Chamber mission, goals, and objectives to ensure a thriving business community within the Venice area. Specific areas include: building a sustainable membership network emphasizing positive member relations and service, facilitating the Board of Directors in the execution of their duties, coordinating the activities of the chamber committees, and fostering positive community relationships.

Position Responsibilities:
Membership: Develop plan for retaining members and attracting new members, cultivate positive relationships, inform members of benefits and services, and maintain Chamber database.
Marketing/Communications and Events: develop marketing strategies for Chamber and events, oversee branding and messaging of print and digital collateral, coordinate events and sponsor acquisition efforts.
Board of Directors: provide support and guidance, execute goals and objectives, coordinate committee actives, prepare board packet.

Administration: Manage the functional daily operations of the chamber, maintain email correspondence, and keep Chamber database up to date, prepare monthly reports.

Qualifications: Bachelor’s Degree in business, public administration, communications, or related program of study. Minimum three years demonstrated leadership or administrative experience, Chamber experience an added benefit

Required Skills: Excellent communication skills, ability to work collaboratively, strong organization skills; knowledge of marketing, business development, operations management, monitoring budgets, and online platforms; computer and database management skills.
