Description: We have been serving the Long Beach Area community since 1891 while existing to be a Catalyst for business growth, Convener for leaders and influencers and Champion for a stronger community. On the “Tech Coast”, Long Beach is a main player in the Southern California economy.

Executive Assistant to President/CEO and Vice Presidents is expected to handle a wide range of high-level administrative tasks including executive communication, handling of corporate and organizational documents, and assisting with arranging special events and programs.

PURPOSE OF THE POSITION: Responsible for the daily organization and clerical support for the President/CEO and two Vice Presidents. Works closely with the President/CEO and VPs in board administration and support, as well as community development and membership development and programs management.

REQUIREMENTS: 5 years marketing/promotional/ event planning experience at the executive level in a related field. Proven ability to work independently, prioritize projects, and practice efficient time management.

EDUCATION: Bachelor’s Degree in Communications, Journalism, Marketing, Project Management; or equivalent combination of education, training and experience in senior level administration and program planning.

The Culver City Chamber President & Chief Executive Officer directs and implements the many activities of the organization, working under policy guidelines of the Board of Directors and Executive Committee. The CEO directs and delegates the activities of many volunteer committees and oversees the work of the staff of these various entities in pursuit of the Chamber’s strategic and tactical objectives.

The ideal candidate will have at least 10 years of progressively responsible experience with a proven track record of success and may come from a variety of backgrounds such as: the top executive of a progressive and comparably sized chamber of commerce, economic development organization, or related significant business association; experience as a “second in command” or other senior-level executive at a larger like-enterprise as noted above; an executive with a strong record of community involvement from a complex private, public-sector or nonprofit entity.

Description: The Carmel Chamber of Commerce is searching for a charismatic and confident leader to serve as our President & CEO. We’re seeking someone with vision, confidence, creativity and passion to elevate and collaborate with our business community, to nurture positive relationships with local government, to develop relevant programs for our members and to collaborate with staff to create a financially successful and effective leadership organization. We’re looking for someone with 5 years of comparable management experience, direct experience in budgeting, growing revenue, and effective management of staff and vendors. Strong administrative skills such as Word, Excel, Quickbooks, PowerPoint, InDesign, Adobe Creative Suite, Quickbooks and the ability to create content for social media are necessary. Experience and confidence in public speaking and interaction with various departments of local government is also expected. Degrees, graduate programs or other specialty educational accomplishments (including W.A.C.E. certifications) are always preferred and Chamber or other membership organization experience is also a plus.
