Description: The CEO provides leadership and general management for the Kelso Longview Chamber of Commerce, working under the guidelines of the Board of Directors. The CEO manages and directs operations, finances, communications, membership, programs and events for the chamber.

Key Responsibilities:
• Help identify strategic direction in concert with the board, create a vision for the Chamber and carry out that vision.
• Develop and implement the Board’s annual business plan.
• Direct and oversee community relations with members, elected officials and the public.
• Manage membership development, including recruitment and retention.
• Develop and implement programs to promote the business community.
• Represent and advocate positions of the Chamber to elected officials at the local and state level.
• Manage all chamber financial and operational reporting, including annual budget, monthly reporting to the executive board and chamber board.
• Direct and manage all revenue generation activities/events.
• Recruit, hire, train, manage and evaluate employees.
• Provide administrative services for the Kelso Longview Chamber / Visitor Center.

General Requirements:
• Minimum of 5-years comparable executive level experience is required.
• Direct experience in: Revenue growth, marketing, budgeting & financial management, staff development, community & government relations.
• Strong MS Word, Excel & PowerPoint skills; ChamberMaster and social media experience desired.

Description: Jorgenson Consulting has been retained to conduct a national search for a President and CEO of the Castle Rock (CO) Chamber of Commerce.

Founded in 1955, the Castle Rock Chamber of Commerce has been the leading champion of entrepreneurial and economic prosperity for more than 60 years. They started with a simple but very important objective to support and promote local businesses, and that straightforward mission still drives everything they do more than half a century later. The Chamber has a long history of championing initiatives that make Castle Rock and Douglas County great.

The President and CEO is ultimately responsible for the total operations of the Castle Rock Chamber of Commerce and the Castle Rock Chamber Foundation. The President and CEO serves as the primary staff point of contact for the officers, executive committee, board of directors, and elected officials.

Education & Work Experience:

The Culver City Chamber President & Chief Executive Officer directs and implements the many activities of the organization, working under policy guidelines of the Board of Directors and Executive Committee. The CEO directs and delegates the activities of many volunteer committees and oversees the work of the staff of these various entities in pursuit of the Chamber’s strategic and tactical objectives.

The ideal candidate will have at least 10 years of progressively responsible experience with a proven track record of success and may come from a variety of backgrounds such as: the top executive of a progressive and comparably sized chamber of commerce, economic development organization, or related significant business association; experience as a “second in command” or other senior-level executive at a larger like-enterprise as noted above; an executive with a strong record of community involvement from a complex private, public-sector or nonprofit entity.

Experience & Skills Required:
• At least five years of recent progressive senior administrative experience in a Chamber of Commerce or closely related environment which includes the following skills and abilities
• Demonstrates a sense of vision for the mission of the corporation.
• Extensive knowledge of state and local government operations including the various legislative processes
• Ability to review and critically appraise program proposals and other complex issues
• Strong working knowledge of the chamber of commerce industry to include the principles of volunteer management, program administration and strategic planning.
• Strong communications and public relations skills coupled with the ability to influence others in a positive manner
• Considerable knowledge and use of the principles of quality management and its implementation in a service organization
• Considerable knowledge and use of leadership skills at several levels for the management and supervision of all aspects of the organization’s activities

• Proven ability to supervise personnel in a manner conducive to efficient performance, production, and high moral.
