Sarah Watts has been named the new president/CEO of the Gilbert (AZ) Chamber. Watts replaces Kathy Tilque, who is retiring after 32 years in the chamber industry and 24 years as CEO of the Gilbert Chamber.
Santa Barbara (CA) County’s South Coast Chambers have announced the merger of three of the area’s largest business organizations. The Chamber of the Santa Barbara Region, the Goleta Chamber and the Carpinteria Chamber will be uniting to form the Santa Barbara South Coast Chamber of Commerce – from Goleta to Carpinteria.
Kristen Miller, who served as the president and CEO of the Goleta Chamber for the last 18 years, will lead the organization as the chief executive officer. Joyce Donaldson, who had been serving as the president and CEO of the Carpinteria Valley Chamber, will serve as chief operating officer and Carpinteria liaison. Stephanie Armstrong, who had been serving as interim executive director for the Chamber of the Santa Barbara Region, will serve as the new organization’s chief marketing officer.
