In February, Chairman Brad Hicks issued a challenge for all Association members to do their part to increase the professionalism in the chambers in the West and spread the word about the benefits of W.A.C.E.
“If more chamber executives and staff professionals were members of W.A.C.E., would our industry be better off? I think the answer is a resounding YES,” said Hicks. “So I’m asking all of you to share the value of W.A.C.E. and recruit a new member to our Association.”
For each and every member that you recruit, you will be entered into a drawing—the first prize will be a free conference registration for the 2020 W.A.C.E. annual conference in Portland, OR. So as they say in Portland, “Just Do It!”
The “member-get-a-member” campaign will run until January 31, 2019. The prize drawing will take place at the 2019 annual conference in Anaheim, CA.
Who Is a Prospect?
A current membership roster, which includes listings by chamber, state and individual names, can be found in the “Members Only” section of waceonline.com.
Membership prospects could include:
• Neighboring chamber CEOs and staff professionals;
• Co-workers at your chamber; and
• Vendors with which your chamber does business that would like to expand their client base to other chambers in the West.
Testimonials, Application
Testimonials from W.A.C.E. members about various Association programs appear on Page 4 and a membership application is on Page 5.
Please note: Make sure you put your name on the “Recruiter” line on the application to get credit for the prize drawing.
Thanks in Advance
“I want to thank all of you for your support for the Association and its programs and helping us reach our goal of growing the W.A.C.E. membership,” said Hicks. “I am certain this effort will allow W.A.C.E. to better serve both our industry and YOU.”
